The photo in the banner, and the one below, are by AK Litaker. They were taken in the summer of 2003, in Morningside Heights, in the midst of writing “Me as her again”.

The digital camera ran out of juice, but not before Arman snapped a couple of arty shots.
Here are recent photos from readings and performances I did in L.A.
At Beyond Baroque on October 10, 2008

Entering with Ann, in full Guitar Boy garb, which we had saved from the last time we played in 2000.

Terrie Silverman joined us onstage and danced like a Bolshoi Ballerina, kind of, as much as one can to a warbled cover of "Baba O'Riley".

I love how this photo makes Arno looks like he is making a grand announcement. It represents his embracing and welcoming spirit.

Shahe Mankerian, poet and playwright, introduced me. He spoke about how he and I met, back in the early nineties when he read my poems in "Caffeine", a poetry zine and tracked me down and invited me to submit poems to "Orange Mosquito", the literary journal he was editing. At the time, there was also "Aspora" and "Open Letter Journal" -- all literary endeavors started by young Armenian writers. In Shahe I met an openminded, creatively adventurous soul.
Old L.A. Photos
I’m in the I’m in the process of moving and I came across some performance photos. The ones below are from a show I did in 1997, WANT. Jack Gould took these at Glaxa, which used to be on Sunset Blvd in Silverlake.
And here’s me and Ann, after one of our Guitar Boy concerts. We played at the birthday party (I think) of Julie Brown (the one who did the Madonna Mockumentary) in the hills of Silverlake. This must have been in 1999 or thereabouts…I have some more old GB photos and will post them soon.
